Dear Church Family,
It is with great sadness that I am writing to inform you of our upcoming plans. Due to CDC recommendations and state of Illinois guidelines, Session has decided to follow the 8 week moratorium on gathering in person.
Last week was our first week. With 7 weeks left, that means we will cancel services through May 3. Our next in-person service (providing there are no other delays) will be May 10. Until then, we will live-stream our services, do church through our flocks, and trust in God.
It’s hard to imagine not seeing our church family for so long. But we will strive to maintain support and encouragement during this time. You should also know that the Ministry Leaders, Flock Leaders, Elders, and Staff of CCP are working hard to best engage us all during this time of physical separation. Please pray for these leaders during this time.
In the meantime, we invite you to watch the Sunday Stream, and the many other videos we hope will be appearing (some by us and some by recommendation). More communication will be forthcoming, but should you have any needs, please contact your flock leader.
I am already excited for our return to gathering together. I can’t wait to see everyone’s faces. But for the safety of one another, and in accordance with governmental authority, I know it will take a while. In the meantime, we will do everything possible to support you, and you can help us by telling us what is useful (and what is not).
Our mission is still the same – to be disciples of Jesus and to make disciples of Jesus. Surely this time will give us new opportunities. I pray God opens doors throughout this time for you, both to grow and to share.
We’ll see you on your screens ;)
Blessings,
Pastor Jason

FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS - At the core of Christian teaching is the very best news possible, that we can be eternally forgiven by Jesus. This line of the prayer, asking for God’s forgiveness, is at the core of each of our Christian journeys. It challenges us and fills us with hope.
